Silver Demish

The Silver Demish dominate the empire. Culturally conservative, they are simultaneously fascinated by more exotic cultures and like to marry Golden Demish for status reasons. There are many Silver Demish Royalbloods, making it possible for princes and princesses to grow up in more-or-less middle class suburbs - with servants. House H'Us has held power on Fountain Court for centuries and most of Lion House Reach is held by members of the greater (H'Us) and lesser (L'Us) branches of this powerful family. Princess Reach is home to most of the rest of the Silver Demish and boasts many impressive holdings although it is considered "second best" to being a H'Usian. Silver Demish families are all rooted in agricultural estates although their greater wealth depends on business, trade and fleet business. Permanent honor bonds, mediated by Sword Law, underpin centuries of relative stability in the Demish world and families scheme for generations to advance themselves through duels, marriages and vassal-liege alliances.
