Okal Rel Legacies going strong

Working on stories for Opus 4, the next installment for the Okal Rel Legacies series. Lexie's is past the post in editing and I'm half way done Hal Friesen's story about the reluctant Nersallian, Nestor, on a working visit to the Nesak homeworld of SanHome. Opus 4 and Opus 5 anthologies were delayed by my change of day job and city but now I've been on the job in Quesnel for a month, Part 6: Avim's Oath is "put to bed" with Edge (publisher) and I am a novel ahead on the first draft front (Part 7: Healer's Sword is written), it was time to get back to the ORL series. After Opus 5 is done I'll see about getting some of my own "nearly finished" novellas into the ORL pipeline, main series willing.

Okal Rel Universe anthologies First, Second and Third available from Absolute Express
Yeah!! Hugs and kisses to Brian and Justyn at Hades Publications! We have lift off for all three ORU anthologies on the Absolute XPress site. The next two are being written as I type (see http://www.okalrel.org/wanted for details) with an ETA of Xmas 2009. Then I will start recruiting for Sixth: an Okal Rel Universe Legacy Anthology. Justyn is the one who re-jigged the titles to make them look better on a cover. I'm getting used to it. It's clear. One, two, three, etc. Three down, seven to go in the anthologies series of companion volumes to the saga. Meanwhile, I've passed the half-way mark (50,000 words) for Part 7: Healer's Sword of the saga series.

Once all anthologies are available in print form again (ETA mid May), I'll start with my two favorite bookstores in PG for stocking them: the UNBC book store and Books and Company. UNBC book store in the person of the wonderful Sandra Wray has already asked when they'll be available because they are down to the last few of the Windstorm editions. Sandra will be retiring this month! I will miss her. But she sooo deserves to enjoy her retirement.

Okal Rel Universe Legacy Anthologies available from Absolute XPress
Yippee! It's been a long resurrection spell to cast, but this weekend all seven of the Okal Rel Legacies books, which began life with the Fandom Press imprint of Windstorm Creative, are now available for purchase in e-format from Absolute XPress, an imprint of Hades Publishing in Calgary. Anthologies four and five are being worked up this summer.

BIG thank you to Justyn Perry!

Lynda and the Okal Rel Universe in the program at Conversion 24 Pleased to have a half-page spread in the program for Conversion 24. It wasn't a large turn out this year but we had good people-times at the bar and it was awesome to see the growing display of ORU books at the Edge table in the dealer's room. It was fun to have Tegan and Mel there, too. They even dressed up for the ORU event and joined us in the bar - for Shirly Temples in their case. Justyn Perry had out the first Absolute XPress catalog which includes two of the ORU anthologies, thus far, and three of my novellas. Making progress with Craig Bowlsby's novella and the third anthology. See David's choices of all the pictures we took on my Con's Attended Page for ConVersion 24.
